Looking after your personal data is very important to me. The General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR for short comes into action on the 25th of May 2018 and is designed to give you more control over how your data is used. I want you to feel secure when providing your information to Mark Appleton Design and this Privacy Policy is intended to inform you about the type(s) of information I gather and how I use it.​


As of May 2018 new regulations require every website within the EU to disclose how your data is managed. This includes the data that is automatically collected by the cookies that are used by this website.

'Cookies usually don't contain much information except for the url of the website that created the cookie, the duration of the cookie's abilities and effects, and a random number. Mark Appleton Design may collect the following types of information when you use this website. 

  • Information you provide directly, including personally identifiable information, when you complete an online registration form for competitions, newsletter signup, etc. or submit an enquiry via email.

  • Usage data, collected via Google Analytics, such as IP address, web browser type/version, operating system and website visit information such as date, time and pages viewed.

  • Click-through information related to Mark Appleton Design emails, social media pages and advertisements.

  • I do not collect / hold payment details. 

Mark Appleton Design may use data to:

  • Measure the website’s performance and activity as well as improve the website’s design and functionality.

Mark Appleton Design will use your personal information, such as name, company, and email or other address, to communicate promotions and general announcements. This information may also be used to provide the products purchased, respond to enquiries and/or provide additional information regarding Mark Appleton Photography products. If you do not wish to receive future promotional information and material from Mark Appleton Design, you are offered the option to opt-out of upcoming communications. 


Mark Appleton Design respects your privacy and will never sell or provide your information to third parties for marketing purposes.
